Format: panel discussion with 4 or 5 topic leaders and question/answers.
Potential participants: Children in the age group 3 to 15, their parents and
grandparents
Topic Outline
* Understanding the mind set of generation alpha (children under age
13) and those on the border of alpha and z (children who are 14 & 15)
* Regulating the emotions of these children to get optimum behavioral
changes and boost learning
* Unique challenges of children of Indian Immigrants: balancing cultural
values of Indian culture and the wider Australian community;
suggestions for smooth transition trajectory into adult life
* Understanding neurodegenerative challenges resulting in
developmental delays and regression
* ADHD, autism, childhood dementia and other neurological conditions
* Role of NDIS and other relevant organizations
* Processing grief and counselling
Names of children who attend the event will be put in a draw and the
first three children in the draw will get goodies.
While this program is being conducted by Marathi Association of Sydney Inc.,
it is not limited to Marathi society. Understanding child mind is a universal
challenge and other linguistic groups with ethnic origins from India are most
welcome to attend. This is a family get together. Children are welcome to
bring their friends.
